Monterey Man Arrested For Breaking Into Hookah Bar

A Monterey man was arrested Friday for breaking into Kero’s Cafe in Cookeville.

24-year-old Anthony Kulisek faces burglary and vandalism charges after being caught on surveillance footage.

Arrest warrants state Kulisek was seen around 4:30 a.m. Friday morning when he broke through a window, walked up to the bar, and fled when he tripped the alarm.

The owner told police that the man had returned to retrieve a phone he had left the night before.

Police later spotted Kulisek driving by the Cafe matching the subject on security cameras and was even wearing the same clothing.

According to warrants, Kulisek told police he did not remember what happened the night before and did not want to talk about the phone. The damage to the window screen, LED lighting, and window tint were valued at less than $1,000.

Kulisek has since posted his $10,000 bond and will appear in court July 29. Warrants also indicate Kulisek has felony charges pending against him  from June 4 in Putnam County
