National pharmacy chain Fred’s will close its remaining Upper Cumberland locations in the near future.
The company announced Friday it would close another 129 stores, including its Livingston and Monterey locations.
Monterey’s Fred’s had only been open just over a year after the company constructed a brand-new building along East Stratton Avenue.
Fred’s will have closed nearly 400 stores nationwide by the end of the year. including its McMinnville store in April and the Sparta location in May.
The Monterey and Livingston stores will have closing sales within the coming weeks. At least 17 other Tennessee Fred’s locations were also named in Friday’s list of closings.
