I am a born-and-raised Ohioan, growing up in the small rural community of Malta in Morgan County.
I began my career in news writing and design in 2016 at Muskingum University, a small school located in New Concord, OH, approximately 70 miles east of Columbus.
I started writing news stories as part of my major within the university’s student-operated media program, Orbit Media. I had no idea at the time that it would turn into a passion and lead me to my current career path.
Stories I wrote were published in Orbit Media’s Black & Magenta student newspaper and posted online at orbitmediaonline.com. From there, I joined the program’s radio station at WMCO – New Concord, writing broadcast scripts to be read on-air while hosting my own weekly show throughout the semester.

In my final semester beginning August 2017, I became the program’s news director, organizing news programing on WMCO, reporting weekly for the station and the website. Duties also included various photo assignments, live sports broadcasting, and attending campus and community events.
In December 2017 I moved to Knoxville, TN to be closer to family who had moved to the area in previous years.
A few months later I joined Stonecom Radio in Cookeville, TN, approximately 80 miles east of Nashville. I have been with the station since May 2018 and have amassed a story count of 1,200 and counting for WUCT News Talk 94.1/AM 1600. The Stonecom family of stations (Rock 93.7, Lite Rock 95.9, and 106.9 Kicks Country included) covers Middle Tennessee’s Upper Cumberland region, ranging from the Kentucky state line in Clay and Pickett counties south to Fall Creek Falls and McMinnville in Van Buren and Warren counties.
Since joining the Stonecom team, I have reported on a variety of topics, including: Rural healthcare, economic and community development, various lawsuits and crime stories, and county and city government meetings.
While reporting for Stonecom, I also host a nightly radio show for WLOH Wolf Country Radio in Lancaster, OH. I interned for the station in 2017 through a connection I made a Muskingum University and have assisted the station since. During the internship I used my skills in graphic design to create a new station identity. I still assist the station with design projects by creating sales fliers to attract potential clients for advertising.
In my free time – besides design projects – I enjoy photography, traveling, and spending time with family.
